Cassandra Willock
Staff Soprano
Soprano Cassandra Willock is praised for her charm and poise both on and off the stage. This spring, she will join Northwest Opera in School Etc. (NOISE) for her second tour with the company as the Mother in Hansel and Gretel. She previously sang Pamina/2nd Lady in their outreach production of The Magic Flute in 2023. Also happening in late spring, Cassandra is very excited to present a number of recitals featuring art song.
Jumping in as a last minute replacement, Cassandra made her Vashon Opera debut as Barbarina in the Fall 2023 after the original Barbarina fell ill five days prior to opening night. She is pleased to be invited back to Vashon Opera in the Fall of 2025 to perform Noéme in Massenet’s Cendrillon. Other notable roles in Cassandra’s repertoire include Angelica from Handel’s Orlando, Donna Elvira, Fiordiligi, Countess, and Rose Maurrant.
Cassandra is equally comfortable singing on opera stages, concert halls, and in ensembles. She is a staff singer with Blessed Sacrament Church and Harmonia, where she frequently has the opportunity to perform solos with the ensembles. In 2024, she joined the Evergreen Ensemble.
Cassandra graduated from McGill University with a Master’s of Music in Voice and Opera Performance, where she studied with Dominique Labelle. Her Bachelor’s of Music is from Pacific Lutheran University, where she studied with Cyndia Sieden. She is currently a student of Cyndia Sieden. In true PNW style, when not singing she enjoys waterfront walks and a good cup of coffee.
