Matthew Gagliardi

Staff Baritone/Countertenor

Matt Gagliardi is thrilled to join the staff singers at Blessed Sacrament. He has an extensive background in sacred choral music and has worked for parishes, oratories, and cathedrals all over the west coast. Previous positions include serving as cantor and bass section leader at the Immaculata (San Diego, CA); countertenor in the schola cantorum  for the National Shrine of St. Francis of Asisi (San Francicso, CA); countertenor/baritone in the schola cantorum for the Cathedral of Christ the Light (Oakland. CA). Outside of church,  he had the privilege of studying voice (countertenor) with the incredible  Brian Asawa for a few years, and also performed with the UC Berkeley Chamber Chorus for several seasons.
